Shakeel Raziq ("we," "us," or "our") operates the QR Scanner mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

The App allows you to scan and generate QR codes and barcodes. All scanned codes and generated codes are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store this information on our servers.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain information through third-party services, including:

Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to collect usage statistics, including:
- App usage patterns and feature interactions
- Device type and operating system version
- App version and session duration
- General location data (country/region level only)
Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability
Event Logs: We collect anonymous event logs to understand how users interact with app features
Remote Configuration Data: We use Firebase Remote Config to provide app updates and feature toggles

1.3 Camera Permission

The App requires camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. We do not store, save, or analyze any images captured by your camera.

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Precise location data or GPS coordinates
Camera images or photos
Content of scanned QR codes or barcodes
Saved QR codes or barcode data
Contacts or calendar information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the automatically collected information to:

Improve app performance and user experience
Identify and fix bugs and crashes
Understand which features are most popular
Provide app updates and new features
Ensure the App operates properly
Analyze usage trends and patterns (in aggregate form only)

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your scan history and generated QR codes/barcodes are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

3.2 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

Firebase (Google): For analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and cloud messaging
Google Analytics: For usage analytics and app performance monitoring

3.3 Future Services

We may implement the following services in future versions of the App:

AdMob (Google Ads): For displaying advertisements

Cloud Storage: Optional cloud backup through Firebase (user opt-in only)

If these features are implemented, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users accordingly.

3.4 Security Measures

We take the security of your information seriously and use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Your Data Rights

4.1 Access and Control

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can access all your locally stored scan history and generated codes within the App
Delete: You can delete individual scans, generated codes, or clear all history directly in the App
Export: You can export your scan history as a CSV file for backup or transfer
Opt-Out: You can disable analytics tracking in your device settings (iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics, Android Settings > Google > Ads)

4.2 Uninstalling the App

When you uninstall the App, all locally stored data (scan history, generated codes) will be permanently deleted from your device. Any analytics data previously collected will be retained in accordance with our data retention policies.

4.3 Data Retention

We retain analytics and crash data for up to 90 days unless required by law to retain it longer. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information, including analytics data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ.

By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, where Firebase and Google services are hosted.

7. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, when scanning a QR code containing a URL). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

8. Advertising and Monetization

Current Version: The current version of the App does not display advertisements.

Future Updates: We may introduce advertisements through AdMob in future versions. If ads are implemented, we will update this Privacy Policy to reflect how ad-related data is collected and used.

Subscriptions: The App offers optional subscription features. Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We do not have access to your payment information. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which collects limited information necessary for subscription management.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
Displaying an in-app notification for significant changes

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

10. Your Consent

By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
